You may lack commitment to your dream because it contradicts something else that is important to you. Let’s take some time to resolve that conflict. If not, your attention and energy may be pulled in different directions.

If you can ask any experts in the world any question, is there a question you can ask that would help you resolve the conflict? When you talk to these experts about your conflict it is important to ask clear questions that require specific answers. Avoid picking questions that will produce an answer you can find with Google or already know. Don’t be afraid of constructive criticism.
Perhaps it doesn’t have to be either/or? Can you think of ways to satisfy both? Can they be pursued in parallel? In series? Not all conflicts are created equal. Often with enough creative brainstorming, you can discover alternative means to solve the conflict. One benefit of the information age is that if you have a question, there is probably someone that has had it before. Borrow their experience and apply it your dilemma.
Can you boil down both goals to the more essential needs that they serves? Are those in conflict? Can a win-win be constructed on that level? It might never be possible to satisfy every single goal that you set, but through an understanding of what matters most, you can work to satisfy your essential needs.
Have you consulted the most strategic and most resourceful of your friends to see what they would do in your situation? Friends are a great resource because they are not afraid to be brutally honest.
